Radhe Shyam Box Office

Radhe Shyam [hindi] was a box office flop. The film’s start was poor (albeit along expected lines), and with no growth expected on Saturday, the damage is done.

With only 5 crores* coming in, the film now stands at 9.50 crores* after two days, and the situation does not appear to be changing on Sunday.

Radhe Shyam Review

Positive Points: Prabhas returns as a lover boy after a long absence, and there was some concern about how he would handle the role. However, Prabhas lives up to the hype and looks dashing in the film. Radhe Shyam’s costumes, body language, and performance are all highlights.

Pooja Hegde gets her best role yet as Prerana and looks stunning in the film. Her dubbing, screen presence, and chemistry with Prabhas are all excellent in the movie. Pooja Hegde performed admirably in a challenging role.

The film is made on a grand scale, evident in every scene. The grandeur, set design, locations, and colorful visuals are visually appealing. Jagapathi Babu is adequate in his role, and the presence of the legendary Krishnam Raju will delight fans. The conflict point revealed in the second half appears to be effective.

Negative points: The film’s slow pace is one of its significant flaws. Because it is a love story, things move glacial, which may irritate fans. The romance has no standout moments, and the chemistry between Pooja Hegde and Prabhas appears forced in a few scenes.

The film fails emotionally because the pain in the love story is missing in many scenes. The storyline is very predictable, and there aren’t many twists in the love story, which makes the drama look weak in the second half.

The so-called ship-based climax has nothing interesting to show and ends abruptly. When it comes to love stories, songs play an essential role, but the songs in Radhe Shyam are disappointing.

The supporting cast has no role to play. Bhagyashree and Kunal Roy Kapoor are both wasted in their roles. Murali Sharma is not even given a single line of dialogue. Why Prabhas lives the way he does and why he does not use palmistry to understand the issues in the love story appears illogical.

Technical Aspects: UV Creations’ production values are excellent, and the visuals are pretty rich. The cinematography beautifully depicts the bygone era and Italy.

As previously stated, the film’s music is quite disappointing, but Thaman’s BGM is excellent and elevates many scenes. The editing is merely adequate. Prabhas and Pooja Hegde have been superbly styled in their costumes.

Manoj Paramahamsa’s production design is stunning, and the European setup is very well done. The artwork, sets, props used, and the VFX work are all excellent. The lyrics to the songs are interesting.

In terms of the film’s director, Radha Krishna, he has done an adequate job. Even though the story is ordinary, he has set it up in an intriguing premise.

Things would have been much more effective if he had increased the drama in the second half. He did an excellent job designing Prabhas’ character.
